As a mom, an entrepreneur and a lover of both animals and the environment, I was determined to find a way for my family to continue their love of bacon, without the factory farms. But finding bacon that met my standards for taste and quality was hard to find. That’s when Fryingpan Bacon was born. My handcrafted bacon is made with humanely raised heritage breed Berkshire hogs known for their exceptional quality and flavor. Seasoned and smoked to perfection Fryingpan bacon delivers artisan quality and taste with the peace of mind knowing animal welfare and environmental standards are part of the recipe. Our Network Of Conscientious Family Farms
Fryingpan Bacon prides itself on its partnerships with family-owned hog farms throughout the Midwest. These farmers have been raising pigs for generations, adhering to a values-based approach that prioritizes heritage breeds, animal welfare, and environmental sustainability.
The pigs are raised outdoors and given ample space to roam, while being fed vegetarian diets without any antibiotics or added hormones. Such a low-stress upbringing not only enhances the pork’s marbling and flavor, but also aligns with Fryingpan Bacon’s dedication to responsibly sourced meat. By collaborating with like-minded farmers, Fryingpan Bacon offers exceptional, delicious products while upholding our commitment to quality and integrity.

Our network of family farms raises heirloom Berkshire pigs known for their superior pork. Its rich, ruby color and ample marbling have earned it acclaim. This is due to the remarkable intramuscular fat content, ensuring incredibly tender and succulent meat bursting with flavor.
In a 1992 study conducted by the National Pork Board, Berkshire pork outperformed other breeds across nineteen traits, including tenderness, marbling, and taste. Our farmers prioritize minimizing stress and allowing natural growth for these heritage pigs to further enhance their quality. As a result, our Certified Berkshire Pork consistently impresses with its tenderness, juiciness, and unparalleled depth of flavor.
